Abstract
Environmental protection is a crucial pillar of sustainable development and public health, and the media, particularly radio, has a significant role in raising public awareness. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of Arman Radio's environmental protection programming on shopkeepers in Kabul City District 12, as well as to investigate the relationship between exposure to these programs and audiences' environmental knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors. A quantitative research method was used, with data obtained via a questionnaire from 370 shopkeepers chosen using Cochran's formula. The acquired data was examined with SPSS software. The findings demonstrated positive and statistically significant links between audience participation in Arman Radio's environmental programs and environmental knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors. The strongest association was discovered between involvement and knowledge, while the relationship with conduct was rather small. As a conclusion our study shows that Arman Radio is excellent at raising environmental awareness and fostering positive attitudes, and it may be considered a dependable media platform for promoting environmental public awareness activities.
