Abstract

This study examines the effects of training on employee performance in the telecommunication sectors of Jalalabad, Afghanistan. The aim of this study is to determine whether effective training programs help improve employee performances. A quantitative method has been chosen for this study, the primary data was collected from 50 employees in five telecommunication networks in Jalalabad city through a structured questionnaire and the collected data were analyzed using SPSS software. Reliability analysis, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression techniques were applied. The findings show that training effectiveness has a positive and statistically significant relationship with employee performance (r = 0.606, p < 0.001). Similarly, regression analysis confirms that training effectiveness significantly predicts employee performance (β = 0.606, p < 0.001), explaining 36.8% of the variance in employee performance. The findings shows that employees reporting higher training effectiveness also tend to have higher levels of employees work performance. This study provides academic and practical implications for managers and human resource professionals in the telecommunications sector, focusing on the importance of continuous and well-designed training programs. Telecommunications companies can use it to enhance employee capabilities, increase operational efficiency, and achieve better performance results by investing in effective employee training initiatives.
